Hey Everyone!! Hope your new year is off to a great start and you are punching all your goals in the face!!šš I have already missed about 10 goals that I set for myself this last month…but then again, who sets that many goals in one month anyway? šš As usual, one of my goals is to post far more often and far more consistently here on my blog…but seeing as this is my FIRST post and the first month is already over…I am failing!! But, this is a great post that I am pretty excited to share! I built this DIY round pedestal dining table and it challenged me to try several new things that I have not tried before! So check out my new favorite dining table!! Lol!!

Spare Table That Doubles as Wall Art
This post is sponsored by Build Something and Kreg!
The holidays are coming!! I LOVE this time of year, family get-togethers, delicious food, gift giving!!! It is the BEST time of the year, my kids’ birthdays are during the holidays too…I just can’t get enough!! But do you ever feel bad when you have people standing around without any where to sit? Maybe they stopped by uninvited, maybe Grandma brought a couple gals from the nursing home???? whatever the reason, today’s post may be a solution for you!! It is a spare dining table or game table that you can store on the wall, as art when you don’t need it for seating people!! How cool is that??? I love the idea, maybe because I have absolutely ZERO closet space in this house it seems!!
It looks like a beautiful piece of art work, but hidden behind the beauty is a little secret!! Lol!!
Restoration Hardware Inspired Trestle Dining Table
Good Evening Everyone!! Today I have new plans to share that I am SOOOOO beyond excited about!! First off, I have drooled over this style table from Restoration Hardware for the longest time, and I have wanted a more farmhouse style dining table ever since I built my West Elm knockoff table! I didnāt have the heart to get rid of that table though, my Dad and I worked together on it and I havenāt even used it for a year yet, so I couldnāt justify building a new one!! That was until we moved, and we now have a breakfast area and a dining area!! Woohoo!! I could have my cake and eat it tooā¦donāt ever let anyone tell you thatās not possibleā¦It is possible!! Lol!! Eeeek!! I was able to keep my old one and build a new one!! Here is the new table I built this past week!!

Faux Pallet Wood Tutorial
Hey there everyone! I am back today to share with you the faux pallet wood tutorial explaining how I finished the table I posted yesterday! See the Knockoff West Elm Emmerson Dining Table HERE!! I definitely spent less time than I thought I would to get the faux pallet wood look, which is always exciting…because let’s be honest, it pretty much NEVER happens! Lol! I can’t say it’s exactly what I wanted it to look like, but I do love it even if it isn’t perfect!
Knockoff West Elm Emmerson Dining Table
Hey there everyone!! My oh my!! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that waaaayyyy back in JULY, I posted my new dining table, right after getting it built! I was BEYOND excited to have built a Knockoff West Elm Emmerson Dining Table, my Dad and I spent two days getting it built, it was just perfect, we hand planed it, sanded it to a buttery finish…it was time for me to distress and stain it…but I left it sitting in his shop…all this time!! Why do you ask? Well, honestly, because I wanted it to look JUST like my inspiration piece, the West Elm Emmerson Dining Table, but I was sooooo afraid I was not going to be able to pull off the ‘old wood’ look that I wanted, so instead of testing stains for a few days and knocking it out that same week…I let it sit…and sit…and sit some more!! Sometimes I make myself soooo angry!! I do not understand why I get scared and won’t just go for it, I will put it off, and put it off, until all the sudden, one day I jump in knee-deep and just do it, why do I have to procrastinate for days, weeks, or even months before jumping in?? I may never know…but what I do know is that I LOVE my new table!!
I am THRILLED that I FINALLY finished it!! Now I have a blank slate here in the dining room and I can’t wait to bring so many DIY projects to this room!! Luckily, you can’t see the absolute mess behind me that I created making this room a blank slate! Let’s just get another look at this table shall we!! Hehe!!
